Here is an orientation on how to use the website needed for the course. Click on the links below to access instructional videos and register into the publisher's website. If you do not have a broadband connection to the internet (DSL, cable modem, or are on campus), the video demonstrations will take a long time to load and view.

Content of the publisher's website: The website contains an e-text, video lectures, quizes, homework exercises, online tutoring, etc.

Step 1: All the homework for the class will be completed at the MyMathLab website. Click on the following link to learn how to register for MyMathLab. If you have purchased a new book, then the access code should be packaged with the new book. If you do not wish to purchase a physical book, then you can buy access to the website either from the bookstore as an "access kit for my math lab" or online with a credit card or Visa Debit card directly from the publisher's website. If you choose to purchase access to the website online, you will not receive a physical book. MyMathLab also offers a 17-day free trial. Go to MyMathLab and click Get Started Icon near the center of the window .

From the new window, read the instructions on how to register into a new course, then click the appropriate link.
If you have the access code with a new book, then click on the "Go to www.coursecompass.com, and click the Register button for students" icon. If you wish to purchase only access to the website without receiving a physical book, then click on "Purchase an online access". Follow the instructions and when asked for the course id, enter quirarte10834....notice that this is my last name followed by the numbers 10834. Spelling is important so make sure that you enter everything correctly. You will also need an email address when registering for the course...this is where all the announcements and emails from within the course will be sent to you. If you do not have email, then yahoo or hot mail offer free email accounts.
