The event will be held on SOCCER FIELD #2 next to the Veterinary Technology Building. Both dogs and cats are available for adoption.
Preview is from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. We will start accepting payment at noon. Dogs are $150 each. Cats are $50 each. All animals have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and tested for diseases like heartworm or leukemia/FIV, and have received 24/7 care. They have also been trained and socialized for the last 9 months by the Veterinary Technology Students. Animals will go home on the evening of Friday, May 4th.

The Cosumnes River College Veterinary Technology Program provides veterinary technician students with a rigorous hands-on learning experience. Student receive an in-depth education in all aspects of animal nursing, including, but not limited to, preventative care, surgery, dentistry, and emergency medicine. This ensures our technicians go into the field with the ability to provide the best quality care for your pet.
As part of the hands-on experience, the students are also responsible for a group of animals that includes twelve dogs and eight cats that you see featured above. The animals are vaccinated, microchipped, spayed and neutered, and have received obedience training from the students. At the end of April, these twelve dogs, as well as eight cats, will be adopted to forever homes. All proceeds from this event will directly benefit all of the animals under the care of the Veterinary Technology Program.
